Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon: Episode Analysis and Symbolism 

Episode starts with Shashi trying really hard, actually desperately to point towards Anjali to make everyone notice, to try and convey his message across, but everybody fails to understand, Khushi decides to take her bauji inside, and ASR helps her in the process. Shashi does not give up, he tries to convey the word ” Shyam” but before anybody could draw an inference, Khushi gets called by Bua, thus forcing her to leave Bauji.  Bua asks Khushi to call Shyam so that he can meet the Raizada’s but Shyam Babua once again gets lucky as they get it hard to being him out of the closed room, and the Raizada’s take their leave. Khushi and Payal share a hug, and ASR stands back watching.

If there is no Attitude and arrogance there is No ASR, and that’s something that makes ASR the more irresistible. He asks Khushi to get out from her own house, as he wanted to talk to Payal in private. ASR goes on to apologize to Payal that her marriage broke off because of him, apologizing does not come easily to ASR , and hence it was endearing to see him make an effort and apologize to Payal, now how was it possible for Khushi not to overhear ASR and Payal’s conversation??? She follows them and hears ASR apologize to Payal, and Payal thanking him saying that in a way he actually saved her, as those people were only interested in money,hungry for dowry. Payal goes on to tell that she is worried for Khushi though as Khushi blames herself for the mishap, ASR guarantees that by no means its Khushi’s fault. Can you believe this is the same ASR who literally man-handled Khushi that night, the night of her sister’s marriage, the night that Khushi for the first time came in to Arnav’s life. He left no stone unturned in insulting her then and telling her that small town girls like her would go to any extent to entice rich people for marriage etc. He not only insulted Khushi but even her sister, its only after Khushi pointed out that what would he feel if somebody made such ridiculous accusations regarding his sister, that he even gave it a rest. Today he went an extra mile to try to make things better, he apologized, he joined hands with Khushi, in hr master philmy plan of uniting Aakash and Payal, thus correcting his mistakes.

My God this girl can really make you Listen, Tyre puncture kar di kudi ne!!!! Just so that he listens to what she has to say, she punctures the Tyre and then fixes it too….and she does not say sorry for it, because she does not feel sorry about it. That’s character consistency,we have seen Khushi apologize for mistakes that she has done, but why should she for the ones that she is not sorry about??? ASR has truly found his match in Khushi Kumari Gupta.

This may be really irrelevant but the entire Tyre Seq can be taken as a Symbolism for the upcoming “Pardafash -Shyam” track. As per the promo, the real face of Shyam is revealed before Khushi. Puncturing the Tyre is like puncturing Anjali’s life……ASR is the Car and Anjali the tyre’s, the solid base on which the Car rests, a foundation, the thing that helps you keep going, which in this case is Anjali. Once the truth is out, Anjali would be heart broken (puncture), thus leaving ASR angry and devastated(Car Breakdown) . Although no fault of hers Khushi may also become a victim in this entire Drama for no reason, fingers can be pointed towards her too for spoiling Shyam’s life. But in the end it maybe Khushi who makes ASR and Anjali see beyond Shyam evil intentions, she may become successful too. She would do this for Anjali, for her life because Anjali has treated her like her own sister, been kind and generous to her. But never will she feel one bit Sorry for doing what she did, for exposing Shaym’s dual face before the entire family.  Just the way i felt the entire scene could have been interpreted….Am i reading too much into it…Well looks like its a wait and watch
