Our Show for today, is the one which after a very long time, has regained its #1 show position with a 5.3 TRP…Yes its None other than “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, one of the longest running shows on Indian Television. The show had managed to carve a niche for itself in the hearts of Millions of Viewers, from the day of its launch with its beautiful and simple story telling and portrayal of charcaters….And today with ithe rising TRP’s and increasing viewership, there is no doubt that the show is here to stay……..

Episode Starts with Naitik Helping Akshara get comfortable on their Bed, after which he takes leave saying he would be back soon…..Akshara hopes to find her Dairy with the Stuffs brought back from the Hospital, but in vain…..She turns to look at her baby, and starts talking to him….Its was a really cute scene, and Hina Khan as usual was wonderful…..She tells her Baby how happy and at peace she is that now he is right in front of her eyes. The Baby starts to cry…Akshara tries her best to pacify him, she takes him up in her arms, and starts walking, cradling etc etc……Enter Gayatri on hearing Munna(Jr) cry and takes the Baby from Akshara, and advices Akshara to rest, while she tries to pacify the crying Junior…….Dadi and Badi dadi try to bring some relief on to the crying baby, and they succeed, in doing so….on the other hand Akshara wonders why Gayatri has not bought Munna back and decides to check on the status of her Baby……But as she is about to leave Gayatri enters with a peacefully sleeping Munna, and tells Akshara the reason for his cries, and what remedy was done…..Gayatri asks Akshara to take proper rest, coz if she did not, it would lead to ill-health, or becoming tiresome faster in the future etc…..

The entire Sequence was about not just the birth of a Baby, but now along with the baby is born a Mother, who like the Baby is new to everything…..The only difference being that along with the birth of the mother comes the Motherly instincts, which no other books or guides can teach…..Akshara asking Gayatri ki, why she was not able to find out the cause of Munna’s distress and her concern and confusion, clearly shows her fear, her fear that her not knowing about things like this may prove to be not beneficial for her child…..And thats when Gayatri’s advice comes in hand, ki she is new to this, and soon she too would know, what to do, and how to handle such situations….

There Varsha and Shaurya reminisce the first time they bought Ananya home, and how tensed they were when she cried, or when she took Deep Breaths, etc etc….Varsha points out ki, the same must be happening to Akshara and Naitik, and the Nxt sequence roll out, where Akshara and Naitik are trying to change the Baby’s Nappy……The tension, fear, restlessness that concerns Brand New Parents, and their techniques about parenting as portrayed by Naitik and Akshara is what one mostly sees even in Real Life, with the coming of a New Member in to their lives…

There Bhabhi Maa and Gayatri are concerned about Akshara’s health and decide to take care of the Baby for a few days, till Akshara regains her health, and strength….Well the question is will this idea sit well with Akshara??? Yes she knows she is new to this whole thing, she is raw, and inexperienced, but keeping her child away from her, is this what Akshara would want at this point of time??? But before they take any further step, they are stopped by Baisaab, and she advices them against it….She tells them this is their first night with their Baby, and also to know the depth of the responsibility they hold as Mom and Dad ……..This was a very nice sequence because its true that only when Akshara will go through this entire thing will she know what to do, and what not to…Her duties, responsibilities as a Mother…..

The Perfect Picture……The Sequence that followed was one where Akshara and Naitik decide to sleep, for sometime as the duo are tired. It was really cute to hear Akshara advice Naitik to be careful that while in sleep, they do not disturb the Baby, or hurt him in any way…..There was a beautiful moment that came up when the Baby holds on to Akshara’s and Naitiks fingers on either sides…….Symbolizing how his entry into their world, would complete them…..The rest of the sequences that followed, involved showing the late night waking up sessions of the New Parents, hearing the cries of the Baby, and how this was just a starting to their Future together…….

All in all it was a beautiful episode…..and shot and executed from a Normal, realistic POV…….Keep watching Starplus, to find out the progress of this new Phase in Akshara Naitik’s life on the Top Grossing Show of the Week….”Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai….”
