Off the Record! : Bollwood actors make a mark in the Guinness World Records

It’s not only in the acting department that has Bollywood actors set records, we have some getting ‘booked’ in the Guinness World Records and each has made a mark in different ways! Read on to know more.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif entered the Guinness World Records as the highest earning Bollywood actress in the year 2013! Yes, you heard it right! The actress made an earning of 63.75 crores that year primarily because of her film Dhoom 3 and earned a place in the Guinness World Record title holder. She does not talk about her earnings but understandably she was thrilled!

Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi is not only beautiful but is successful and a multi talented actress as well. In 2016 Sonakshi registered her name in the Guinness Book of World records. She is the title holder for ‘most people painting their nails simultaneously’. She had participated in the event on the occasion of Women’s day last year with her mother Poonam Sinha. 1328 women painted their nails simultaneously all over and she won the first prize earning her a place in the Guinness World Record book!

Asha Bhosle
If one were to talk about melodious singing it’s sisters Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle’s who head the list in India. Asha Bhosle who struggled at the beginning of her singing career has sung in over 20 languages! In 2011 she entered the Guinness World Records for singing 11000 solo, duets and chorus backed songs! She has sung evergreen numbers in like Dum Maro Dum (Hare Rama Hare Krishna) and Piya Tu Ab To aaja (Caravan) and is active even today!

Abhishek Bachchan
Abhishek Bachchan may not have set records with his acting skills but has earned himself a place in the Guinness World Record as an actor who appeared in the maximum places in 12 hours to promote his film! In was in 2009 for the promotion of his film Delhi 6 that Bachchan junior travelled to seven cities which included Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh . He covered the 1800 Km in his private jet and his car. He beat Hollywood actor Wills Smith who in 2004 made three public appearances in a span of three hours to promote his film I, Robert.

Amitabh Bachchan
The Shehensha of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan entered the Guinness World Records in his own unique way. Bachchan who has sung for many of his films sang the the devotional Hanuman Chalisa in his deep baritone with 19 different singers in 2015 setting a world record!
